Waikato kids LEGO® Masters competition
HamLUG are inviting talented young builders from across the Waikato the chance to display their own creations at the Hamilton Brick show 10th and 11th August 2024 at the Claudelands Events Centre.To be eligible simply fill in the form below.
The top creations from each age group will win entry for the creator and 1 support person to the Hamilton Brick Show 10th and 11th August 2024.Winners will be announced at the Brick Show 2pm Saturday 10thThe winner of each age group will then receive a Toyworld $100 voucher for themselves and a LEGO® Large Creative Brick Box for their classroom.
Closing date is Sunday July 21st 2024 Finalists will be contacted by Friday 2nd August. Finalists will be asked to drop their creations to the Brick Show venue at Claudelands after school on Friday 9th August.
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
If two siblings build together does the build get submitted into the older person category?A group of two or three siblings or classmates can work together to create an entry, but the maximum group size is three. If the group should win, only one prize will be awarded (regardless of group size). Please enter under one name only, the name of the eldest participant.
Can they work with other people from different classes or even schools? Participants from different classes or schools may work together, but the maximum group size is three. If the group should win, only one prize will be awarded (regardless of group size) and the prize will be delivered to the classroom of the eldest participant, who should be named on the entry form.
How big can the build be? Must fit on a 32 x 32 Stud base plate.
Can you use parts of an existing set ? E.g A Lego Ferrari from instructions but placed in a MOC Garage/Pit Stop etc... Participants may use parts from any existing set, but all parts must be made into an original build. Every part of the display must be original, including cars and buildings.
